How to Use

Option 1: Purchase the ready-made kit, which includes 2 pre-made cloths and full instructions.

Option 2 – DIY Cloths:

1. Use a cotton absorbent fabric (e.g., old diaper or undershirt). Cut 2 pieces approximately 4•5” × 6•7” depending on the size of the person being treated.
2. Attach each piece to contact paper and sew around the edges. The contact paper keeps the cloth flat against the chest and acts as a barrier to direct the oils into the body.
3. Pour a puddle of Cough Compress oil onto each cloth and spread evenly over the entire surface.
4. Place one cloth on the upper chest and the second on the upper back.
5. Secure with tape or Press & Seal wrap (Glad brand works best). Cut the wrap larger than the cloth and place over it to keep in place.
6. Dress the child in a snap-bottom undershirt and closed pajamas to keep the wrap secure. Important: Ensure the wrap cannot come loose, as loose plastic wrap can be a choking hazard.
7. Wear old clothing as the oil may stain.

Duration of Use

• Apply cloths overnight. In the morning, remove, place the two oily cloths together, and store in a zip-lock bag.
• Cloths can be reused for 7 to 10 nights.
• Continue applying until the patient feels completely well.
• For daytime coughing, MR Chinese Oil may be used every 2–3 hours as a complementary support.
